Laying out the countertop templates and arranging them on a slab. The countertop sections will be cut precisely according to the templates. The tops are cut from the most beautiful and most interesting parts of the slab. *What happens to the remnants?* The leftover pieces are saved as is if they are large enough to cut vanity tops from. If they are not, they get ground up and put into other stone products like asphalt and concrete.
